Outdoor Gas Fire Pit Shop

One of the coolest toys I’ve bought for myself recently is the Whalen Fire Pit. I love the sight and smell of a real wood fire; it reminds me of great times with my family. Like when my boys and I are sitting around a campfire in the mountains during a hunting trip or when the whole family has roasted hot dogs on the beach during vacation.

The Whalen Fire Pit allows me to have those experiences anywhere from my back deck to tailgating at the ballgame. The kids love to use it to make ’smores and roast marshmallows. As I’m writing this it is Halloween afternoon and a little chilly. We have pretty much the entire pack of neighborhood kids on the back deck roasting hot dogs before they go trick or treating. I feel safe letting the kids use it (with supervision).

The steel construction of the Whalen Fire Pit makes it completely sturdy, and the screen does a great job of containing the fire and keeping little hands away from the flame. When you’re done it is really easy to use the cover to smother the fire and cover any remaining embers.

We also like to use our Whalen Fire Pit over by the hot tub. The light and aroma of a real fire makes for a very romantic evening. Some of the most fun we’ve had with our Whalen Fire Pit is taking it tailgating.

That’s the beauty of the Whalen Fire Pit, just how portable it is. It is no more trouble to cart around than my old charcoal grill, but it absolutely wins the battle of parking lot every week. While the guys all around me are cooking over pressed charcoal briquettes, I’m grilling steaks and salmon over real mesquite. There is nothing to arouse the envy of your tailgating peers like the smell of a real wood fire. The proof of my success is that my son, who is a junior this year, willingly brings his friends by to eat before the game. The Whalen Fire Pit is, to borrow their expression, “wicked cool”.

When I first purchased the Whalen Fire Pit the screen had been slightly damaged in shipment. Nothing major, it was really more of a cosmetic issue than anything else. Customer service was great! They replaced the screen no questions asked and were very courteous and efficient with their service. I can’t imagine you having a problem with the Whalen Fire Pit, but if you did each unit does have a 5-year limited warranty. I have the large Whalen Fire Pit, which is 28×45 inches. They also sell medium (20×40 inch) and small (20×33 inch) units. I love this product. If you’re going to buy one outdoor accessory for the house this year, make it the Whalen Fire Pit.
